I've run in Wave Nirvanas for about four years - and I will now have to change. Been using the new 5's for about three weeks and they just aren't the same. Not sure what they changed - but it isn't for the better...

A great shoe that I will buy again
I've tried quite a few shoes over the years and find these to be one of the most comfortable shoes on the market. Sometimes, when going for a long run, my feet would hurt by the end of my run, but not with the Nirvanas. I'm sold on these. They could be a little lighter, but I'm not looking to run fast. I just want to run for a long time.

A great shoe that I will buy again
Ran in 1,3 & 4 of this shoe. 5 is the best since the original. Love the updated wave plate and extra rearfoot stability. Shoe lays down excellently with a lower profile feel. Light for a max stability shoe. Bought a pair to wear at work and one to run in. My main shoe for 2009. Lovely job Mizuno!

Mizuno changed the wave plate in these shoes and made them much firmer. Gone is the nice blend of cushion and support. I like the fit, but probably won't buy another pair.
