| Awesome traction....but the upper needs work
(2010-02-21) | Rating | This review is for the 875, not the 874
Pronation: Pretty neutral
Cushion: Medium to High
Arch: Low
Width: The upper runs a little wider than average for a D width shoe.
Sizing: Size yourself 1/2 smaller than usual.
I have about 100 miles on these shoes. I'd say I have spent about 50 on trails and the other 50 on roads. Already the plastic plate that gives the shoe it's trail rigidity has cracked.
The shoe ran fairly well on the road. I did a 13 mile run in them on gravel and paved roads and would probably do it again. The shoe is amazing an trails and snow.
The upper needs a lot of work. It just does not hug the foot appropriately. The N-Lock system actually wraps not only around the arch but the heal, too. But even this is not enough to give it a good feel and fit. I would say that about 50% would agree with me. People who do like them generally have a wider foot and the upper does not have to be so tight. (Write a review) (Reply to this review) |
